Awesome little lamp 👌🏼 I bought this for camping and it really is a good one compared to others I’ve had, easy to use, you can pull it fully up for brighter light or half up if you want it dimmer and has a solar panel so you can keep it charged while your camping, a flash light function for those midnight toilet runs and handles to hang in your tent

Good option in the price range
The lantern works well and is bright enough to move around the house during a blackout or rummaging through the garden shed at night, but would not be your main lantern on a camping trip, it isn’t bright enough.The solar panels are really only good enough to maintain the battery, it would take a year or more of sunny days to fully charge the battery – possibly longer. The hand crank is enough to get the lantern on, but you’ll have to crank for half an hour to get ten minutes worth of light, so it’s only good for emergency use – but I think that’s the intention anyway. Generally you’ll want to power the battery via USB.The torch is weak, but functional.In the write-up, it says you can dim the lantern by lowering the lights into the case, but this doesn’t turn off any off the LEDs so it still consumes more power – but as it says, it will dim the light the lantern offers.The above comments are all negative, but the lantern is well made, collapses into a small package that is easy to find a spot for, and good value for the price range it sits in. If you want a camping lantern, you’ll want something else, but if you want a lantern for emergencies, blackouts, and rummaging around in the garden shed at night, this is a good option. It is also useful as a battery for giving small charges to other devices such as a phone.

Bought this as an alternative to switching lights on after dark to preserve energy.(using solar) Put it in window during day and its perfectly fine to see around the house at night. Can adjust brightness by how far you pull up the top. Has good charge time (as advised though, it works best if you fully charge it first using the USB to electric power-after that, solar has worked great.Love the fact it has a wind up option if needed (of course there is an option to charge through USB/electric but I’ve not used that (apart from testing) as im interested in solar (cheaper and better for the planet)Previously had a cheaper one using solar power and no where near as good.I’ve since ordered 2 more of these for my household, and my parents also now have 2 and loving them.Only downside now (as someone else also said) they have gone up quite a bit in price which has put me “on hold” to buy more, as I’d wishReview add on(as item saved, waiting to buy more)Price gone up even further. Won’t pay that much now. Gone up over £10 pounds each recentlyUPDATE 2 out of the 4 i bought have now stopped charging using solar power
