Customers find the camping stove functional and easy to use, with no messy assembly required, and appreciate its portability as it’s compact for transporting and easy to pack away. Moreover, they consider it perfect for camping and worth the price. However, the build quality receives mixed feedback, with some finding it well-made while others describe it as dangerously poor quality. Lighting the grille caused some head scratching.
This is the go to camping cooker. It’s sold everywhere and you will see hundreds of them on the camp site. The Amazon price is also very attractive.Bad bits first – it comes without a gas pipe or regulator. I understand the lack of regulator as we all have different gas bottles. But a bit of pipe couldn’t hurt. I spend an additional £12.50 on a Campingaz regulator and pipe for my 907 bottle.The next issue is lighting the thing. The rings have an ignition button each that works really well. But the grille does not. The instructions are minimal at best, so after some online research I came to the conclusion that it needed to be ignited with an external source. So you will also need a long lighter.Whilst the unit folds down into a handy carry case. Note that you now have a pipe and regulator flapping about. The control knobs are also outside of the case and very venerable so you do need to be mindful when packing.The good bits – it’s light and generally well built. It’s large enough to put a decent sized kettle and medium frying pan on together and the power output is very impressive.The lid works really well as a heat shield and when you have the rings covered the direct area around the job is not too hot making it, in my opinion quite a safe little unit.All in all I am very pleased with my purchase. Just keep in mind the required accessories.

Brilliant piece of kit
We have just had a power cut of 48 hours due to Storm Darragh. This stove has been a lifesaver. Emergencies like this is what it was bought for and it didn’t fail. Brewing up, cooking dinner and easy to use. Thoroughly recommend.

Good value, durable and reliable
I use this everyday for the last six months. Always worked and durable. Only fault is the control markers on the body wear off almost on day one. As its so simple it does not matter. I like with care you can turn the gas right down to almost of for a slow simmer.

Gas was expensive but cooker functioned well. Burners excellent, grill a bit slow but not sure I was using it properly, will have to have another look. Compact easy to clean and attractive colour

Sturdy, decent rings, hard to clean, useless grill
I’ve used this hob everyday 3 times a day for a few months now (we are redoing our kitchen and the old induction hob broke).Not so good:I found the grill a total waste of time, feels like you’ll use half a bottle of gas just to get 1 slice of bread mildly blushed with colour.Also found it difficult to clean as any splashes or spillages collect at the bottom of the lid in the upright position (plus it has a rim).Flame on highest setting works fine although the low setting is too high for cast iron pots when they get to temperature. We’ve worked around this by turning the knob very slowly as if you were switching it off. We can then set a much lower flame. I’m using it in my kitchen with no drafts to blow the flame out mind!…Good:The ignition switches are amazing, never fail, but note the grill doesn’t have one, only the hobs do.I’ve had it loaded with large cast iron pans filled with stew and it’s solid construction coped without any issues.Verdict:Overall, I’d say this is a great purchase if you’re looking for a small gas hob.

Good value
A very well made piece of equipment. Plenty of space for two pans and the advantage of a grill pan below. Easy connection to regulator and gas bottle. Good value for money.

Badly designed.
This is a very basic camping stove and it works, just about. It’s cheaply made and badly designed. I’ve lived with it for several camping trips now so can give a measured review.The burners are quite good and don’t go out even in quite strong wind, even though the stove has no side baffles.The grill is terrible, and completely pointless. It simply doesn’t work. Put something on the grill pan and nothing happens to it. Put something on the top of the grill section and it gets so hot that it goes on fire. Unlike the two burners, the grill has no igniter so you need to use a match or a lighter. What’s that all about? Cost saving I guess.Considering the useless grill, this is essentially a big twin burner stove.Other things that annoy me, it has hard plastic feet, so it slides about on hard surfaces. Considering you have to press in the knobs to turn on the gas, and press the piezo igniter to light it, you’re basically pushing it around a lot. No problem if you have both hands free and can hold the stove whilst using it, but when you’re cooking, that’s not always easy. By simply fitting rubber feet instead of plastic feet, it would be a much better stove.The gas connection and the knobs are all outside the stove, even when closed. A poor design, which makes the stove immediately less robust that it could have been. You need to be careful when packing it, to avoid knocking the already very flimsy knobs.It’s amazing that there are so many positive reviews for this thing, I guess this is why companies get away with making junk, because people buy junk and don’t realise it’s junk.
